Joyous’ story of success is an example of pure dedication and commitment. In August of 2000, after seeing Amazon John speak in Mt. Shasta, California, Joyous (29 years old at the time) joined a small team of Associates in her rural town of 3,500 and she began her Amazon Herb entrepreneurial adventure.
In those days she was cleaning houses, making herbal salves and oils, and practicing voluntary simplicity. She had little no money, no car, few possessions and lived in a tiny garden structure on a friend’s land. While she exhibited many talents in organic gardening, whole live-food meal preparation, and herbal remedy production, she had no computer, phone or sales experience. But Joyous saw the vision and potential of the Amazon Herb lifestyle and made a strong commitment to learn what needed to be learned to succeed. She was willing to move beyond her comfort zone.
A French Canadian and new to the United States, English is her second language. Writing and speaking fluently, naturally and eloquently became a greater necessity as she stretched to reach a wider audience with the Amazon Herb products. In the beginning of her Amazon Herb Career, Joyous modeled after those who were successful. She was eager to learn and to follow through. She stayed focused and always strived to achieve her greatest potential. She built her organization one person at a time, reinvesting her commission checks back into her business. She exhibited at shows and fairs, hosted events, organized tours in California and Hawaii and worked with her warm market. She stuck close to her upline and joined their marketing efforts for win-win results. Within thirteen months, Joyous went Gold and won the trip to the Amazon. By then she had acquired a laptop and cell phone, refined her image and walked with more confidence. She had taken action! She reached her first Amazon goal. In 2002, the Company awarded her the Prosperity Consciousness Take Action Award.
Two years later, she was a contributor in the Company’s marketing team, a trainer at company events, and a powerful role model and leader in her growing organization. She is assisting Silvers in becoming Gold with her one-on-one coaching, conference training classes and hands-on fieldwork. She continues to see the vision of who she can become and the financial freedom rewards that are here for her with Amazon Herb Company. The lesson she brings to all of us is, “If you really want it, you can have it, no matter who you are or from where you begin.”
Since then Joyous has meet her husband at a conference while serving him a sample of Shipibo Treasure Tea. They now have a super healthy son called Nicholas Sunshine, he is 2 ½ years old. She has truly enjoyed her residual income during the past 3 years since she chose to focus her time on her Amazon baby.
Today Joyous is back in action working with new business partners in New Jersey. She hosts Lluvia spa parties and is connecting with her new community.
